Hi I'm Geoff Stock and I have been a Television Cameraman in Australia for over 40 years. In that time I have filmed for many of the biggest TV shows in this country and I reckon I have filmed over 10,000 stories.
I started my career in 1976, in the days of 16mm film.
In those days I had to learn all of my skills by watching the senior cameramen and then trying to work it out for myself.
A long, slow process of learning by making mistakes.
It took many years to get to be a Senior Cameraman.
The thing that I realized is the skills that I learned in those early years transferred across to every single camera I have ever had to learn to use since then.
And there were many cameras and lots of skills.
